Modern Glass is the largest factory in Russia in terms of production capacity in the market of flat glass processing.
We produce complex architectural double-glazed windows for skyscrapers, airports, stadiums, banks, hotels, shopping and office centers.
For 20 years we have been creating the architectural appearance of cities in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Lithuania.
In 2022, we are launching a new project to increase production capacity by 50%. We are constantly updating the fleet of equipment to the most modern and technologically advanced, working with the best suppliers in Europe.

Change of build-in section painting for structural glass. We improved the quality of soft-coated glass build-in section painting.
Output increased by 30% through the automation of business processes, without launching any new equipment.
Launch of overall production upgrade and automation project designed for 1.5 years. The project will increase the plant’s production capacity by 40% and cut the amount of reject by 50%.
We signed glazing contracts for Dream Island amusement park and Akademik business center in Moscow, a congress hall at Ekaterinburg EXPO exhibition center and Trinity residential complex in Ekaterinburg, Rhythmic Gymnastics Center in Sochi, Gagarin airport in Saratov, Kazan Expo exhibition pavilion in Kazan, Dordoi Plaza mall in Bishkek, Tashkent City International Business Center and Humo Arena skating complex in Tashkent.

Launch of laser coating removal unit for electrically heated products, which has enabled us to ensure a more uniform heating on IGUs of virtually any shape.
Introduction of lean manufacturing concept (Lean system).
We signed glazing contracts for the Russian Copper Company headquarters in Ekaterinburg, Neva Towers MFC, Philharmonic in Zaryadye Park in Moscow, and the second building of the Innopolis technopark.
We made glass products for VTB Arena Park, Moscow City MIBC cinema & concert hall, Sheremetyevo Airport (Terminal B) in Moscow, and Idel Tower residential complex in Ufa.
As part of the 2018 FIFA World Cup preparation, we made glass products for Perm, Simferopol, and Rostov-on-Don airports.

We made glass products for Zilart residential complex, Monet Residence and Horosho Mall in Moscow, Kandinsky House and Garinsky residential complexes in Ekaterinburg, Gavan residential complex in Vladivostok, Krasnodar Stadium, airport, train station and congress hall in Astana, airport in Bishkek, Ganja Mall in Ganja, Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and Radio Plant in Baku.

Production capacities increase due to the start of our fourth tempering furnace and installation of our second autoclave.
We obtained test report and started to make MG EMR electromagnetic radiation shielding glass products.
We obtained a certificate for MG Termo electrically heated glass products.
We signed a glazing contract for Central Asia’s highest skyscraper — Abu Dhabi Plaza in Astana.
We made glass products for venues hosting the 2016 SCO summit in Tashkent (Hyatt Hotel and C 5 business center).

We made glass products for the Vostochny Cosmodrome and Tigre de Cristal casino in the Far East, Arkus BC, Algoritm BC, President Plaza BC and Kuntsevo Plaza Mall in Moscow, Aurora BC in Ekaterinburg, ExpoForum congress and exhibition center in St. Petersburg, and Residential Complex on Vilonovskaya in Samara. Iset Multifunctional Complex project is completed in Ekaterinburg.
We made glass products for the venues hosting the 2015 SCO summit in Ufa (Gostiny Dvor MFC, Bashkiria Hotel, Hilton Hotel, and Sheraton Hotel).

Start of IGU production with AGC Pyropane fire-resistant glass.
Purchase and installation of a new multi-color digital jumbo printer.
Purchase of the most advanced tempering furnace in Eastern Europe to make quality control automatic and enhance optical features of our products enabling us to temper glass with emissivity up to 0.01.
We made glass products for the first building of Innopolis Technopark in Kazan, Sunkar International Ski Jumping Complex, Dostyk Plaza Shopping Mall in Almaty, and Marriott Hotel in Astana.

Start of automatic IGU assembly for products of any complexity, including the use of Schüco frame. Comissioning of a compact automatic jumbo glass storage.
Manufacturing of glass products for the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games venues (Olympic Games Organizing Committee building, Adler Arena skating center, Olympic Park, Adler and Krasnaya Polyana railway stations), the XXVII World Summer Universiade in Kazan (Rowing Center, Kazan airport, and Aquatics Palace), the 2012 APEC summit in Vladivostok (Aeroexpress terminal at Knevichi airport, Primorsky Aquarium, and Hyatt Hotel).

In the late 2010 Modern Glass opens its branch in Perm.
June 2011 sees the production of the first IGU at the Perm site.
The output of the Austrian assembly line is up to 2,000 IGUs per day. The second IGU production line is ready for commissioning.

The Governor of Chelyabinsk Region awards the CEO Mikhail Dedovich with a certificate of honor for his long-term dedicated work.

Purchase and installation of new equipment: full-color inkjet printer. We have studied technological features of using the new printer, tested it, trained our workers and made samples.
Start of multi-color digital on-glass printing under the MG MultiColor brand.
The company has its regional representatives in Krasnodar and St. Petersburg.
Production of glass products for the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo.

Purchase of a German technology, start of electrically-heated MG Termo glass production.
Modern Glass is the first Russian plant outside the Moscow region to make electrically-heated glass products.

The Chelyabinsk Plant of Modern Glass is renamed into Modern Glass LLC, which is registered in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
Processing and selling of MG Pyrobel and MG Pyrobelite fireproof glass.
Formation of a single industrial complex by bringing production and office together.
Upgrade of all processes and technologies, more efficient use of resources available, and prime cost optimization.

Purchase of our own production site at Stankomash plant. Purchase of new equipment. Subsequently, when all equipment had been commissioned, the enterprise moved all its production to its Stankomash site.
Purchase and installation of a horizontal tempering furnace and an IGU line for large-size 6,000 x 3,210 mm products. Modern Glass is the first Russian plant outside the Moscow region to produce jumbo format glazing.

Development of Order Processing Department: training of employees in taking and calculating orders, putting them into production and other complex technological operations.

We formed the first team of production workers, Sales Department, Order Processing Department, and IT Department.
On June 1, the first glass product was made. We consider this date to be our Production Birthday.
Modern Glass became the first plant in the Ural region to put into operation a tempering furnace and to begin selling tempered glass. Our first products were magnetron-coated glass, tempered glass, and painted glass (silk-screen printing). We started to cooperate with our first supplier — Glaverbel (now AGC).

We selected equipment at GLASSTEC 2002 exhibition in Düsseldorf devoted to equipment, technologies and production process of the glass-making industry.
We put together a project financing program and a business plan, chose a production site (4th floor of Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant), purchased our first equipment and employed our first employees.
July 31 is the Plant’s Birthday; this is when Chelyabinsk Plant of Modern Glass LLC was incorporated.

The idea of creating the company was based on the production of magnetron-coated glass (covering glass with metal). It was the plant’s original field of activity. Back then, glass processing was only beginning to develop as an industry. Magnetron-coated, tempered and painted glass products were a novelty. As time went by, standards, norms and requirements for glazing were introduced. Tempered glass and triplex started to be considered as safe types. Modern Glass was the first plant in the Ural region to begin safety glass production.
